GDi are seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our busy and growing team we are an Aberdeen-based innovating EPC company, specialising in inspection, asset management software, engineering/design, fabrication, and rope access construction services to the energy sector.

Main purpose of the role:

Reporting to manager appointed as applicable the Senior Surveyor is responsible for carrying out Surveying for Global Design Innovation Ltd, and any other company as may be added to GDi’s portfolio. This role plays an essential part of the success of the business by ensuring that GDi continues to drive innovation and deliver commercially viable products, to achieve the Companies objectives of growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out a wide range of surveys in line with relevant procedures
• Advise best practice approaches, undertake RAMS and compile/review survey methodologies
• Pre-mobilisation checks on survey and scanning equipment
• Resolve Survey queries
• Responding to technical queries and media creation for clients and GDi personnel within appropriate timescales.
• Preparation of Survey Scopes, including where applicable man-hours and equipment estimates
• Process all captured data and prepare final deliverables
• Perform QA/QC analysis
• Modelling of 3D data into 2D and 3D CAD drawings and reports as required
• Preparing & checking of drawings and 3D models
• Operate online survey software and monitor the data quality to ensure the survey specification is achieved
• Achieve the target and completion within the budget and schedule; ensuring that all survey work is carried out in accordance with priorities and schedules
• Report job progress. Identification of increase or reduction in scope.
• Supervise other Survey personnel as determined by the Lead or Principal Surveyor
• Comply with relevant codes of conduct

Who you are:

• Skilled in application of all aspects of Surveying including best fit techniques, error propagation and datums.
• Proficiency with geomatics and point cloud processing packages (Leica Cyclone, Faro Scene, LSS, Recap).
• Knowledge of implications of environmental conditions and effects on survey systems and data
• Ability to understand client requirements and scopes of work and ensure that the Scope of Work and contract deliverables are fully understood.

Main purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Lead Designer, the CAD Technician is responsible for building 2D and 3D models, extracting data from 3D Point Cloud, input to inspection work packs and assisting with continued R&D projects. This role plays an essential part of the success of the business by ensuring that GDi continues to drive innovation and deliver commercially viable products to achieve the Companies objectives of providing efficient solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Create Plant 3D models using point cloud data.
• Interpret engineering drawings such as P&IDs, general arrangements and schematics
• Create inspection assessments
• Assist with software testing
• Assist design and engineering team

Requirements:
